Activities that make a difference

Our programming reflects the diverse needs of our members and takes the time to incorporate their thoughts, ideas and insights. Each year NetIP-NY launches the programming year with a welcome brunch, which encourages members to join volunteer committees and provide input on topics of interest to THEM in the areas of professional development, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

We are a member-focused organization committed to achieving an ongoing dialogue with our members so that we can truly meet their needs.

Our 2005 Programming Year will include the following:

BC (Business Card) Thursdays

Held on the second Thursday of each month, our Business Card Thursday event is open to members and non-members alike. Each BC Thursday event provides an opportunity for targeted networking as well as the opportunity to learn something new. Every month, we feature a new and notable speaker addressing a topic related to professional developments. Subjects may include everything from career coaching and time management to how to run effective meetings and inter-generational communication at work. We encourage everyone to come out to each BC Thursday to network, nosh and learn about how you can fulfill your potential.

Entrepreneurship/Leadership Series

Open exclusively to NetIP-NY Members, our entrepreneurship and leadership seminars focus on topics ranging from "How to Create a Business Plan" to "Recognizing and Developing Leadership Skills". These are more intensive and interactive workshops that help participants build expertise in specific areas to achieve their life and work goals. Sign up for NetIP-NYmembership and have an opportunity to provide your input on entrepreneurship and leaderships topics that meet your interests.

9^th Annual Scholarship Awards Program

Each year, NetIP-NY provides scholarships to determined and qualified South Asian junior and senior high school students who seek financial assistance for higher education. Our "Educational Resources Fund" is designed to foster the growth of new generations of South Asian professionals. We truly feel that each individual’s success contributes to the success of the entire South Asian professional community. That’s why our ultimate goal is to ensure that we are assisting not only today’s South Asian professionals but also tomorrow’s crop of bright, young individuals. NetIP-NY 11^th Anniversary Gala

Scheduled to take place in Fall 2005, the NetIP-NY 11^th Anniversary Gala is an opportunity for our organization to celebrate our accomplishments and look forward to our next decade of achievements. The Gala will feature an influential keynote speaker, a retrospective of NetIP-NY accomplishments and an opportunity to network with South Asian professionals committed to career and personal success.
