NetIP-New York – YOUR network for advancement.

History

Founded in December 1993, NetIP-NY is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit dedicated to furthering the advancement of South Asian professionals. Over the last ten years, our organization has evolved from being mainly a social networking organization to one that provides social opportunities while at the same time offering programs in skills-development and knowledge sharing that can be applied to ANY profession. We are affiliated with the Network of Indian professionals – North America (NetIP-NA), a national organization with chapters throughout the United States and Canada. NetIP-NY is an independent entity, maintaining its own identity and agenda, while sharing many common objectives with the national organization and other chapters. Learning Through Experience

NetIP-NY encourages all members to take advantage of the opportunities our organization provides for experience-based learning. Not only can you participate in our BC Thursday series, entrepreneurship and leadership seminars, but you can also practice and improve your management and leadership skills by taking part in our volunteer committees designed to identify and implement programming for NetIP-NY. By working with us, you’ll take an active role in forming a unified and influential community of professionals who are equally committed to our Mission of furthering the advancement of South Asian professionals. Serving the Community

As an influential and affluent community of professionals, we have a responsibility to not only help ourselves but to also help those in our community who may not have the same access to resources and assistance that we may have had. That’s why each year, NetIP-NY solicits donations to the NetIP-NY Foundation – the grant-making arm of our organization, which contributes scholarships to students who demonstrate a need as well as to community organizations that are making a significant impact in the South Asian community.
