Co-President Samrat Kulkarni

An engineer by profession, Samrat Kulkarni works in R&D for Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies.  He plans and designs state-of-the-art fiber optic transport networks for major service provider networks in the US, and the world.  His qualifications include a B.E in Electrical Engineering from BITS Pilani and a M.Sc. in EE from Purdue University.

Samrat likes to run in his spare time and hopes to become a good long-distance endurance runner.

Co-President Seema Tejura

Seema is a teacher at Harlem Link Charter School. She grew up in Maryland, and received a BA in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. Seema moved to New York in 2005 to get her Masters degree from Teachers College as a Reading Specialist. She joined the NetIP Executive Board in 2006 as the VP-Community Service and Political Awareness, and served as VP-Social and Cultural Events in 2007. Before moving to New York, she worked as a Literacy AmeriCorps member in West Palm Beach, Florida. She also spent several months volunteering in Guadalajara, Mexico as an ESL teacher and loves using the Spanish that she picked up while living there. Seema has also had the opportunity to live in Dallas, Philadelphia, and London.

In her free time, Seema loves baking, reading, cooking, and exploring the city.

VP Corporate Relations - Debashish Das

Debashish (who goes by Deb) joined NetIP-NY in 2006 after relocating to the NYC area from Raleigh, NC.  Prior to that he has lived in Austin, TX, Dallas, TX and Toronto, ON.  He was born in London and has travelled throughout Europe, South Asia, and Latin America.  Deb was an active debater in high school and was very interested in politics from a young age.  However, his career interests lie in the technology sector which is why he attained his electrical engineering degree from The University of Texas at Austin and his MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas.  He currently works for Cisco Systems as a Sales Engineer, providing technical closure to deals for for investment banking accounts.

VP Membership - Nevin Shetty           

Nevin Shetty is an associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Alternative Investment Funds group where he provides assurance and attestation services for hedge fund and private equity clients.  Prior to joining PwC, Nevin interned at Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney.   

Nevin holds a B.A. in Accounting and Finance and a Master's in Professional Accounting from the University of Washington.  Nevin has successfully completed all four parts of the CPA exam and is currently pursuing a CFA charter.

VP Social Events -  Bobby Rehani              

Bobby is a Licensed Real Estate Agent in Manhattan who works with clients looking to buy, sell and rent apartments and investment properties.  Prior to his Real Estate job he worked at Merrill Lynch in their Mortgage Division.  He graduated from Boston University with a double major in Economics and Political Science and studied abroad for a year in Spain, where he interned for Deloitte Consulting and ran with the bulls in Pamplona.  He has traveled extensively, including trips to Brazil, Argentina, Scandinavia, Australia, and Central and Western Europe. 
 
In his free time, Bobby enjoys running, skiing, scuba diving, and reading.

VP Cultural Events - Ruby Bola                       

Ruby currently works as a Manager in the Membership Rewards group of American Express, where she leads a variety of business transformational initiatives.  Prior to joining Amex, she was a Consultant with Accenture’s Financial Services group.  Ruby received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a minor in Computer Science from Columbia University, and also completed a summer program at the London School of Economics where she studied International Political Economy.   

Ruby was born and raised in Long Island, NY.  In her free time, she enjoys playing piano, attending operas, volunteering, and exploring NYC.

VP Community Service - Sree Rao

Sree works as a Technology Business Analyst & Project Manager at Morgan Stanley. He was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN and came to New York to attend Columbia University , where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Sree likes to read books on a range of topics from economics to poetry. He also enjoys swimming, hanging out with friends and hiking around the city.

VP Political Awareness - Rita Bagai 

Rita Bagai works as a Customer Relationship Management Consultant at IBM  Global Business Services.  She was born in Fairfax, Virginia and graduated  from the University of Pennsylvania with a Finance and Marketing degree and  a minor in South Asia Studies.  She has interned for the Department of  Commerce, World Bank, Lincoln Financial Advisors, and a pharmaceutical 
market research firm. 
 
In her spare time, Rita enjoys reading, volunteering, and watching football.

VP Marketing - Anita Ramakrishna

Anita Ramakrishna has a professional background in Marketing and Technology.  She currently works at a leading online advertising and marketing effectiveness research firm, where she provides client service and manages the accounts for major advertisers, agencies and publishers. Anita received her M.B.A. from Hofstra University with a concentration in marketing, and also studied Psychology, Computer Science, and Religion at Boston University and Manhattanville College. She was born and raised in Westchester, NY and enjoys travel, tennis, music and dance, spending time with family and friends, and meeting great people.

Mohit was born and raised in Queens NYC.  He currently work at NYU School IRB as a Research Assistant.   He Graduated from St Johns University with a B.S. in sports management. Loves to play sports, travel and listen to various types of music.
